vitamin water, ipods, 80s movies, girl power, joan jett, and whatever else comes to mind :)

good evening (told with a vampire accent for comedic effect of course ^_^)

well, its friday, and i'm home with my dog, watching a movie while drinking vitamin water XXX. iwent out for dinner with the family, red robin (YUMMM)...hahah ihad their apple harvest chicken salad, SOOOO GOOD!!! haha. then the family and iwent to walmart. got some essentials ineeded, ya know, bottle of vitamin water, an itunes card ($25, of course), new earphones, a DVD set that had the Teen Wolf movies, and igot some other essentials that ineed not say...there's a red box at the walmart that iwent to, so irented the runaways, so some of this blog is my review or critique, or whatever you wanna call it...basically its what ithought about it.

but before we get into that, igot an itunes card, like isaid before, and igot a bunch of new tunes that ihad been wanting to get (wow, probably bad grammar) for a while...so, this is the list, in the order that igot them from itunes:

1) Mine - Taylor Swift
2) I Like It (feat. Pitbull) - Enrique Iglesias
3) I F****d the DJ - Tila Tequila
4) DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love - Usher
5) The Boys of Fall - Kenny Chesney
6) Round & Round - Selena Gomez
7) If I Had You - Adam Lambert
8) Undo It - Carrie Underwood
9) The House That Built Me - Miranda Lambert
10) There Goes My Baby - Usher
11) Our Kind of Love - Lady Antebellum
12) I Never Told You - Colbie Caillat
13) I Wanna Know You - Hannah Montana (yes iknow this is sooo dorky, but ilove the song)
14) Makin' Me Fall In Love Again - Kellie Pickler
15) Red High Heels - Kellie Pickler
16) Cherry Bomb - The Runaways
17) California Paradise - The Runaways
18) Hollywood - The Runaways
19) Everybody In Love - JLS

ok, so you see, ihave a very wide range of music here, from rock to R&B, to country, to pop to rap, ilike all kinds of music ;)

so now, i'm gonna give my critique or review or just basically, my opinion of the movie about "The Runaways" :)

so if you know anything about The Runaways, they were the first All-Girl rock & roll band. it launched the career of Joan Jett, who later became famous for her band "Joan Jett & The Blackhearts", who were famous for their cover of "I Love Rock & Roll", which happens to be, if iwere to ever do karaoke, the one song that iwould have to do!!! lol..anyways, the movie is based on Cherie Currie's memoir "Neon Angel: A Memoir of a Runaway"...Cherie Currie was the band's lead singer from late 1975 to mid-summer of 1977...she joined the band when she was 15, and left before she was 18...anyways, so enough with this playful banter of giving information, on with my review!!!

so ireally enjoyed the movie...Dakota Fanning's portrayal of Cherie Currie was amazing..her performance is transitioning her into bigger, more mature roles. ithink that now she'll be given more adult roles, because ithink that the role of Cherie was a big step for her, and it was her chance to show what she could do, and she pulled it off perfectly.

ialso loved Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett. ididnt really know much about Joan Jett, other than her band, but my cousin, Jamie, told me about her and The Runaways, and ijust love the idea of an All Girl Band during the time that women weren't really able to branch out of the ordinary..this band paved the way for other girl bands...without their influence, you wouldnt have bands like The Donnas, The Gossip, or any other girl groups...but anyways, thats some serious Girl Power

the movie to me, progressed very quickly, it didnt seem like it was 106 minutes, or however long it is...the movie was directed by a woman, so that is some serious GIRL POWER!!! 5 stars for that :) ialso loved how both Joan Jett and Cherie Currie were on the set of the film, and when you compare side by side, Kristen looks soo much like Joan Jett!!! WOAHH ihad to take a double take...anyways, nevertheless, it was a great movie, and now ireally wanna read Cherie's memoir

well, thats all for now, i'll right back soon, byee :)

xoxo, R<3
