Shopping Haul!!!!!

hey everyone :)

so I went shopping today with one of my friends and I picked up a few things from Wet Seal, Forever 21, Claire's. originally, I was looking for something patriotic to wear for the upcoming 4th of July festivities I'll be attending, but no luck. however, I'm very happy with my purchases and I know some of the pieces I will be incorporating into my outfit for the holiday.

the first top I bought is from Wet Seal. it is a black and white tank top with lace on the back. on the front is Audrey Hepburn, as Holly Golightly in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." I bought this shirt because I absolutely ADORE anything with Audrey on it. I'm a huge fan of hers and "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is one of my favorite movies. I also really loved the lace in the back. it's another shirt that's great for the summer and I can't wait to wear it.

this top is from Forever 21. it's just a basic cream colored top. I know the camera makes it look white, but it's actually more off-white than white (the lighting is really bad, sorry). this will probably be the top I wear for the upcoming holiday, I really like how it looks on me. I love this top, but it's a little see-through, so I'd have to wear it with a white tank underneath it. this shirt would work perfectly with some dark wash jeans and some flats or flip flops. I'd also wear this over my tankini with some Bermuda shorts as a cover-up for the beach or pool. this top works well with anything, and I'm excited to incorporate this into different outfits.

I found this scarf at Forever 21 and I immediately fell in love with it. it's actually more of a mint color, but the lighting in my room makes it look like a darker blue. I found another mint colored scarf, but it was too plain, so I decided to purchase this scarf instead. for this picture, I decided to model it, so you can see how I would wear it. personally, I think it's perfect for the fall. not only that, but I think it's perfect to wear at night (especially for nights during the warmer times of year when it's a little cold out). scarves are an extremely versatile accessory, and I'm excited to play with different ways that I can wear it.

this last item is something that I was ESTATIC to buy. this is a small purse that is light brown with leopard print and metal studding, and I found it at Claire's. the adjustable strap is perfect b/c, it can be as long or as short as you want. this was another purchase that was indeed love at first sight (hahaha jk). I'm OBSESSED with animal print and metal studding. so when I found this, I had to have it!!! I looked in several stores for a bag like this. a lot of stores have bags this size, but something about the bags made them inappropriate for every day use. I didn't have any preference for color, I just wanted a small bag. I was tired of carrying big purses around when there wasn't a necessity for one. A small bag is perfect for going out on a date or out with friends to the mall or a movie. even though it's small, it's perfect b/c I can have just the necessities. for me, my necessities are my phone, my wallet, my keys, my pressed powder, gum, and whatever lip color I'm wearing so I can do touch ups. smaller bags are really the best way to go, because that way you're not carrying so much.

Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes Review :)

hey everyone :)

So I wasn't sure what I wanted to post a blog about, but I was on my iPad watching some miscellaneous videos (Beauty, Comedy, Music, etc.) on Youtube, and I felt this sudden inspiration to write a new post for my blog. I did some brainstorming, and I finally came up with an idea for a blog post. As you can probably tell by the title, this post is all about my favorite eyeshadow palettes at the moment. These are the palettes that at the moment I consider them to be my "go-to" palettes. What I mean is that these are the palettes that I'm currently using for my makeup, because I love the way the colors look on me. So without any further ado, let's get on with the tutorial.

(Just as an added FYI, I purchased all of these products with my own money, I'm not being compensated for my opinions on each product, and all opinions are my own)

The first eyeshadow palette I'm using at the moment is the Photo-Op Eye Enhancing Palette by Smashbox Cosmetics, which I purchased at Sephora. What I really love is that each palette in this collection is for a different eye color. The colors in each palette are the right colors that will make your eyes pop. I have hazel eyes, so I bought this palette, but in the future I want to buy the other palettes and see if those eye shadows would look good on me. I've played around a lot with this palette, experimenting with different color combinations and seeing which ones I like the best. however, personally, I really like how the olive green color looks on my eyelids on its own. However, I think that color would go well in the crease, with the gold color in the middle on the lid and the cream colored shadow as a highlight on the brow bone. I can think of a bunch of different combinations for eyeshadows and I cannot wait to try them. (I may have to make a video using this palette on its own, let me know in the comments if that's a good idea)

This second palette is from Avon. It's the True Color eyeshadow quad, and it's in the shade Mocha Latte. This is one palette that I have yet to use on its own. Since I got this palette, I've been using the lightest color in the palette as a highlight and the second color and the darkest color in the palette in my crease. I experimented with the second color and darkest color by using them together. I start by putting the second color in the crease and then the darkest color on top of it. I think this method deepens the color in the crease, and it makes it look a lot better. I've been combining this crease method with a lot of my natural eye looks, and it's been working pretty well.

The last palette, and probably my most favorite of these three palettes is Kat Von D's True Romance eyeshadow palette, and its in the shade Sinner. This is another palette I found at Sephora. I love the colors in this eyeshadow palette and I love that it comes with a pencil liner. If you buy this palette, I definitely recommend using the pencil liner that it comes with. It stays on all day and it doesn't smudge at all. I recently used this palette and I used the pink color (first from the left) on my lids, and the purple color (second from the left) in my crease. I really liked the way this shadow combination looked on me and I'm definitely gonna wear it that way again.

Forever 21 Haul!!!!!!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

hey everyone :)

now that I posted a blog earlier about the changes I made to this site and to my YouTube activity, I can now start doing what I really want to do with my blog! I recently went into Forever 21 with my friend Ashley and I picked up some pieces that I'm absolutely in love with. and since this blog is in conjunction with my Beauty/Fashion Channel, I thought why not post a blog entry about what I got from Forever 21!!!!

the first top I bought is a gray sleeveless graphic tee. it has the logo for the Rolling Stones. I saw this shirt and I immediately fell in love with it. I tried it on and it fit perfectly. I'm so excited to wear it this summer. It's going to go perfectly with some dark wash jeans and flip flops (if I'm wearing it at night) or with Bermuda shorts (if I'm wearing it during the day)

the second top I bought is a black sleeveless shirt, with silver studs on each shoulder. the shirt also has bows that are the color of the British Flag, and the phrase "God Save the Queen" is printed on it. I was so excited to buy this shirt. I love the different elements of this top: the studding, the design on the shirt, etc. I was shopping at Forever 21 last summer and I found a shirt exactly like this one, except it didnt have studding on the shoulders. unfortunately, I couldn't find the shirt in my size back then, so I was really happy when I found this on my most recent shopping trip.

the last top I bought is this white sleeveless shirt. I know that it's a lot of sleeveless tops, but it's summer time and these shirts are perfect for this kind of weather. not only that, but I really love wearing this kind of shirt, it gives my style more of an edge. I love the design on this shirt. it's unlike anything I've ever bought from Forever 21. I think it adds a little flair to my wardrobe :)

another blog post, another change :)

hey everyone!!!!

so I know it's been a long time since my last post, but I've been really busy with school and working and other activities that I've been involved in. so this blog post is to say that I'm changing the nature of this blog once again! yes I know I said that before and that this was going to be about fashion and music, but I've decided to revamp it and do something different.

so now I would like to reintroduce you to
my blog. this blog is going to about my life in general, but with one little twist. in conjunction with my upcoming YouTube Channel, this will also feature blog posts about beauty. I'm in the process of starting a new YouTube channel that is strictly about makeup and fashion. So whatever videos I post on YouTube, (makeup tutorials, OOTD's, Shopping Hauls) there will be a blog posted about it here. I started on YouTube as a teen fan fiction writer. I was a fan fiction writer for about 2 years. But I've grown out of that and even though I'm not writing anymore, I will leave that channel as it is, because I know there are teens out there on who enjoy reading my work.

so with a new YouTube Channel, a new blog is born. the name of this blog will be changed soon, as soon as I can think of a creative name :) but I will be posting a new entry very soon so look out for that!

MEMPHIS!

hey everyone!!!

So if you follow me on twitter, you know that yesterday I went to NYC for the day! My mom helps organize a trip every year for some students of her college and this is the 3rd time I've gone on this trip! We went to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and after that we went to the Shubert Theatre on 43rd Street and we went to go see Memphis, which has now become one of my favorite musicals! The story behind it and the musical numbers were FANTASTIC! I don't want to reveal too much about it, so I'll just say its about how music brings two people together, as well as those around them in the 1950s. If you live near NYC like I do, then you should definitely go see it! :)

There was a moment in the show where I realized one thing: I cannot give up my dancing. There were these dancers performing on stage and they were amazing! They were so perfect with their movements and so into it, I was mesmerized. It made me realize why I love dancing so much.  I dance because when I do, all the bad things in life go away and I'm happy because I'm doing what I love.  I've been a dancer since I was 4 years old, it's something that I cannot part from, without that in my life, I wouldn't be me.

--------------

well that's all for now! iknow this isn't about fashion, but it's technically about music so idecided to post this:) i'll post again soon! post a comment below & don't forget to follow me on twitter @Jetsetter_MsRee

My Top Five Favorites!

Hey everyone! A lot of people know that ihave a very eccentric taste in music :) Lately, there have been A LOT of songs that I've been loving! There's too many to list, so I'm keeping this simple and listing my Top 5! So here we go :)

5. Last Friday Night by Katy Perry

I'm LOVING this song at the moment. Katy Perry is an awesome singer, and all her songs are fantastic. This song just makes me feel happy, and it's one of those songs that teenage girls will sing along to in the car and will dance to if it plays at a dance or party...overall, it's just a happy song! :)

4. Who Says by Selena Gomez

When ifirst heard this song, ifell in love with it! This is another song that's great to sing along to. It's one of those inspirational songs that can just cheer you up in a heartbeat. Not only that, but ilove the message behind it. To me, that song is all about loving yourself, and it's so inspiring and uplifting to me.

3. Till the World Ends by Britney Spears

Ever since iwas little, I've always been a huge Britney Spears fan. I had dolls, her CDs, imean I was beyond obsessed (haha), ifirst heard this song and instantly ithought of clubbing. This is the type of song iwould listen to while doing my makeup to get ready for a night out. And not only that, it's catchy and good to dance to <3

 2. Super Bass by Nicki Minaj

You don't need to be a Nicki Minaj fan to like this song! It's so freaking catchy!!!! I can't resist rapping the first verse. Selena Gomez did it and so did Taylor Swift! ilove Nicki Minaj's music, and this is one of my favorite songs of hers!

1. Copy, Paste by Diggy Simmons

I can't begin to explain how much ilove Diggy Simmons! I've been a supporter of his for the longest time and I'm never gonna stop! His music is amazing and he never ceases to make me and all of his Jetsetters proud :) Currently he's on the Closer To My Dreams Tour with a bunch of other up and coming artists, so if he's in your city, go get tickets!!!!
